NPT/NUFFIC ACTIVITIES – 2007
VISIT BY NPT FACILITATORS
The Centre played host to two facilitators; Maud Huynen (UM – ICIS) and Marleen Gulikers (UM – Educ.). Their mission was to monitor the Master programme in Governance and Sustainable Development. They were here from 28th April – 5th May, 2007.
VISIT BY NPT PROGRAMME OFFICER, QUINDINDA NIKIEMA:
The Programme Officer paid a working visit on 23rd May, 2007. He met with the three project Coordinators in the University. The projects are:
- Project Number 042 –Centre for Development Studies
- Project Number 045 – Institute of Educational Planning and Administration
- Project Number 155 – Department of Science and Mathematics.
The meeting centred mainly on the progress reports for the year 2006 as well as challenges.
GSD WORKSHOP HELD (MARCH 5TH – 9TH MARCH, 2007 AT THE MANNA HEIGTHS HOTEL, MANKESSIM):
As part of the GSD programme, members were to write a book. A Call for Paper’s was sent to academic researchers in all the public universities in Ghana. Over 26 articles were received. A 4-day workshop was organised for authors to present papers. The presented papers have been reviewed and are receiving publishers’ attention
CDS PH.D CANDIDATES:
Three CDS Ph.D students visited the Netherlands for three month (January – March, 2007) and have since returned to Ghana for the data collection. They are Mrs. Nana Ama Anokye, Mrs. Akua O. Britwum and Mr. Agyenim-Boateng
